Dr Carsten Sørensen (Associate Professor) in Digital Innovation within the Department of Management at The London School of Economics and Political Science (www.carstensorensen.com). He is also visiting professor at University West and Halmstad University, in Sweden. Carsten holds a BSc. in Mathematics, an MSc. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Information Systems, from Aalborg University, Denmark.

Since the 1980s, Carsten has researched digital innovation - for example innovating the digital enterprise through mobile technology (www.enterprisemobilitybook.com), and the innovation dynamics of mobile infrastructures and platforms (www.digitalinfrastructures.org). He has published widely within Information Systems since 1989 (www.scholar.carstensorensen.com), in publications such as MISQ, ISR, JIT, and ISJ.

Carsten has been affiliated with a variety of Danish, Swedish and British institutions. For a number of years he has been engaged in assisting and assessing digital startups, and for 25 years has been actively engaged in academic consultancy and executive education with a broad range of organisations, including IMF, Microsoft, Google, PA Consulting, Orange, Vodafone, Intel and GEMS.
