At Rhetorician we only represent a limited number of speakers, covering the above, specific topics, so we are very conversant with the material that a client will require. Hence, we can suggest the most appropriate speaker or, if we have no availability for one of our listed speakers, we have the ability to source a suitable speaker to save the client from having to look elsewhere.

We pride ourselves in being very approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to a client's enquires. We can swiftly ascertain a speaker’s availability and can accommodate conferences and events anywhere in the world. We can easily organise the accessibility of materials about a speaker and their presentation for a client to use in advance PR for their event. All materials are supplied in high resolution format.

Once the scope of work, fee and booking have been confirmed, we can facilitate a line of communication between client and speaker for the discussion of the finer details of the speaker’s presentation and the event as a whole.

Rhetorician undertake the booking of all flights and transfers as well as hotel accommodation – unless the event has a dedicated hotel into which speakers are booked by the client. Many companies now prefer to book speakers via a bone fide agency or bureau, for reasons of internal process and financial procurement. We have a very short, but comprehensive, Client Agreement which clients find refreshing in this era of contracts which can run to many pages!

Many speakers find that - especially in the fields of business processes and the associated, new, digital technologies – they have an increasing number of requests to speak at conferences & events. Often, however, they don’t have the available bandwidth to manage the fee negotiations and all the logistics required to get future speaker bookings confirmed and all the necessary transport etc., in place. At Rhetorician, we cover all that and it makes the speaking part of their lives so much easier! Also, we are finding that an increasing number of companies now prefer to book speakers via a bone fide agency or bureau, for reasons of internal process and financial procurement.

The way Rhetorician works on behalf of our speakers is very simple: You either receive an offer to speak directly, or via ourselves. If, in principle, you would like to accept the engagement, and you are available for the suggested dates, then you refer the client to us, as your agent (if the request has come to you) or reply to us, if we have sent you the enquiry.

We then handle all the fee negotiations and initial discussions about the scope of work required, with the client, before liaising with you to see if their requirements and the deal is acceptable. Once you are happy, we have a very simple, industry standard, Rhetorician/Client Agreement, which we ask the client to complete and sign upon confirmation of the speaker booking.

Rhetorician is responsible for all of the flight, hotel and transfer bookings for you. This ensures that we are fully in control of the standard of accommodation etc. Transfers to and from airports, hotels, and conference venues are always made using private hire vehicles rather than local taxis, for reasons of safety and reliability. On all occasions we will have sourced references for, and contacted directly, the transport company we will be using. We also double-check details with them closer to the event and confirm a 'Meet & Greet’ service by the chauffeurs at the airport, so you do not have to go searching for your transport after a long flight!

A few days before the speaking event, we will send you a PDF with your full itinerary and details of the event – including flight, hotel and transfer details and all relevant contact numbers.
